Self-Supporting Ordained Ministry

On Saturday 9 September a service was held in Southwark Cathedral to celebrate
60 years of
Self-Supporting Ordained Ministry  (SSM) in the Church of England.   As Bishop Christopher's
Adviser on SSM, Father Mark helped to organise and took part in the service.    The preacher was The Rt Revd Julie Conalty, Bishop of Birkenhead, who served her first curacy,  as a self-supporting minister, at St Michael's.
